Canadian Wendigo (Also known as Piasa Bird)
Origin Continent: North America
Category: Mammalian Flying Cryptid
Found In: Sphinx Zone, occasionally in Mt. Echidna and Mt. Typhon
Description: A creature with a lizard-like head, eagle claws on its arms and legs, two feathery wings, and a serpentine tail. It is covered in black, green, or brown fur except on its wings and claws.
Height: 4-5 feet on four legs
Weight: 250-400 pounds
Wingspan: 30 feet
Length: 15 feet from nose to tail
Durability: Canadian Wendigos are impervious to all known weapons except fire.
General Temperament: Like their American cousins, CanadianWendigos are extremely predatory. They generally drive their prey into madness but will occasionally eat them.
Enemies: Kongamatus, Athols, other flying cryptids, Lindwurms
Prey: Anything human sized or smaller, Athols
Special Abilities: CanadianWendigos can repeat any sound they hear, fly at incredible speed even when holding prey, and are impervious to all weapons. The only exception to this rule is fire, which consumes them with a passion.
American Wendigo

Description: A large, bipedal mammal with bone crushing jaws, blood red eyes, brown or white fur, and a long, shaggy haired tail.
Height: 6-11 feet tall
Weight: 300-800 pounds
Durability: American Wendigos are impervious to all known weapons, but can be temporarily destroyed by sunlight and severely harmed by other forms of light.
General Temperament: Wendigos, like most creatures in the Sphinx Zone, hunt humans and all other animals with a passion. They have the parrot-like ability to repeat sounds they have heard, allowing them to lure prey. Unlike most creatures in the Sphinx Zone, Wendigos prefer to kill their prey rather than leave them in a state of hysteria.

Special Abilities: Wendigos have superhuman speed, unbelievable strength and unlimited stamina. They can duplicate any sound they hear. Also, any type of light scares them away, and the sun's rays make them melt into a pool of black liquid.

Found In: Hydra Zone
Description: Green skinned humanoids, these beasts have heads that look like bizarre, twisted human skulls. They have no eyes, and their sharp teeth can reach three inches in length and one inch in width. Their fingers end in razor sharp claws shaped like sickles.
Height: Between 5 and 7 feet
Weight: Between 100 and 250 pounds
Durability: Ghouls can be momentarily destroyed by gunshots, though their heads must be destroyed and burned to ash to truly kill them.
General Temperament: Ghouls attack and attempt to eat anything that moves, though they prefer human prey.
Special Abilities: Any human, Sasquatch or Yeti that suffers a ghouls? infectious bite will become a ghoul. Their claws and teeth are razor sharp and they can go for years without food.

This mist covers all of Sphinx Zone, within which are many houses and vestiges of the civilized world. It is unknown whether these are illusions or real.
